conulySo after stashing the kids at the library I went to check him out. I'm 95% sure this is NOT our cat - the white spots didn't seem to be in just the right spot (although I immediately began second-guessing about that) and, more tellingly, the behavior wasn't typical. Sandy had a habit of automatically rising up to be petted, this cat didn't do that, he's a head-butter.
I hope she finds his actual owner soon - this is a friendly, altered cat, so somebody has to love him.
