Yesterday, of course, they come out of swimming and immediately their teeth begin chattering. (This gave us an excuse to talk about why we shiver to keep warm, and how the energy from moving is converted to heat. Science, check! Really, I'm a homeschooling goddess.) So we hustled ourselves down to the bus stop, and Ana glance in the florist shop, gasped, and declared "Look! Precipitation inside the windows! It must be warm in there!"
LOL, she cracks me up sometimes. It was warm in there, too. My glasses got all fogged up. Sadly, it was also very crowded with plants and knick-knacks and teddy bears, and I suspected the store clerk wouldn't really like two kids standing in the doorway until the bus came, so I herded them out again.
Speaking of science, it's weird comparing what they know to what they don't know. Some things, I bring up and they're all "Yeah, yeah, we know all about this". Other things that I think are just as basic get me blank stares because they have no idea.
