They said this season was lighter and fluffier and yes, they are definitely hitting the light-hearted comedic notes (which is odd given how horrific the murder of the asshole-of-the-week was. Bounced around in an elevator...!)
Buuuuuuuuut on the flip side, Barry's time in the speedforce has done absolutely nothing to improve his personality. He's still a controlling jerk. "Oh, I completely speed-resolved all our wedding preparations without stopping for your input! Oh, I know what we'll do for dinner tonight, and yes we have time to eat out because I canceled your standing plans! Because I'm back, so who needs your training anymore?"
He may be a great superhero, but I wouldn't want to date him, and I sure wouldn't want to marry him.
At least it looks like the writers finally realize how problematic his behavior is, because if this doesn't get resolved, and fast, I'm giving up forever. (Go ahead and spoil me: Does anybody confront him about this? Does it stick!?)
