Well, that was anticlimactic!

Took Sweetheart to the van.

A 4:30 am wakeup, a 75 minute wait in the freezing cold, a long trip back in the afternoon... all to be told that when they sedated her, they found she was already fixed!

They clipped her ear for me. Nobody will ever make this mistake again with this cat. I was going to start right away looking for homes once she was fixed, but I'll wait a day or two. This raises the odds slightly that she really does have a home and a family that loves her and takes care of her. If so, they'll see her clipped ear and shove a collar on her or something. I really doubt this is the case - all my neighbors swear they have no idea where she came from, and I've seen her hanging out on our porch very close to 24/7. But it's dimly possible.

And of course, Congress needs to make the two rifuckingdiculous tax bills agree. Spam the hell out of 'em. Call them, email them, write them, make them utterly sick of you - and get your friends to do the same. There's still a chance for take-backs.
