1. When I was telling Ana about how she shouldn't say "That's so easy!!" in class, before I could get to the lecture part of this conversation she interrupted me.

Ana: I noticed something funny too.
Me: Oh? What is it?
Ana: My teacher was a lot nicer than usual!
Me: Really????

My concern level about this is small to nil. Ana isn't reluctant to go to school, I don't hear other people complaining that their children are unhappy at school, the kids look reasonably happy when I see them exiting the building... if Ana's teacher isn't as patient as we might all hope, well, it's hardly ideal but it does not, in and of itself, a bad teacher make. So I didn't even tell Jenn until, I guess, just now.

2. I got the nieces new crayons, as I said, and Ana was using them to do her homework. As she colored, she said to me "I don't like the triangle crayons I have at school that much". (She uses M&D crayons at school because they don't get lost easily and because she needed to work on her pencil grip and I thought that wouldn't hurt.) Why doesn't she like them? "Because when it comes time to draw everybody pretends they don't have crayons so they can borrow mine. And Meghan already lost three of them, but I don't lend her my crayons anymore. Even the teacher takes them sometimes!"

I just about died laughing, I thought that was hysterical. And I promised Ana I'd get some more sets for the entire class next time I get paid, since she feels so strongly about it. LOL. (And a new set for her because, you know, Meghan stole three of her crayons.)
