Yesterday, everybody's feeling better, I'm eating dinner, and Angelique mentions that she ate some of her lunch with Daddy. She'd rushed through lunch to get to the donuts she bought with her very own money, and then regretted it later when she was hungry and I had to tell her the food was all too messy to eat at the bus stop.

Okay, cool. Oh, and unfortunately, they spilled a lot of it on the floor. It happens.

Except today, I can't find my lunch containers. They haven't been removed from the bag. The food is still in them.

Uh....

(And if it had been put away last night, the cabbage would still be good to eat today! Instead, I had to make blintzes. Not that I mind blintzes, but... I only have so much time in the morning.)

I just don't get it. What did they eat?

Oh, and for the record? I was at the museum every day last week, vile calumnies notwithstanding.

I'd say I'm surprised... but I'm really not.

Look at it this way - with all the extinctions directly caused by humans, climate change won't be able to do as much this time around!

Seems to me that now, I don't only have to think about "flooding" but also "massive drought".

So I need the second safest place to be in case of global warming. Not the safest, because everybody will be there, but the second safest. Gotta outthink them!

Alternatively, I need advice on living in a desert, or in a very flooded city. That might, in the long run, be the better plan - nobody will be clamoring for my little patch of land then.
