The article is pretty positive, but in the comments there's this critical site. I have to say, I have long thought it silly to give zillions of cars up to 2/3 of any given street, just for free!

So...wouldn't people just start driving around, looking for the cheapest parking that still gets them reasonably close to their destination?

Also, save for business formal things (where walking the streets in a formal suit isn't really practical, nor probably the best idea for presentation; and even then, how many people do that on a daily basis anyway in places like NYC?), what's wrong with walking half a mile? It's only half a mile, and in an area that I assume is pretty pedestrian friendly?

I remember going to Home School Fridays at the SC State Museum when I was a kid (my family helped get them set up! :). I enjoyed them well enough anyway, but when they had special presentations on dinosaurs? BEST THING EVER.
