Oh, hey, I totally forgot to post this!
Sep. 5th, 2009 03:07 pmNow, I *know* you all read
ozarque, because she's awesome, but just in case you didn't get the memo: Go read her journal! Because she's awesome!
Right now she's also being awesome while writing a series on American English Grammar, so go read it. (Should I post this in
linguaphiles, do you think?)

It's like, I'm the most brilliant person ever :P but not everything I write is actually this scintillating gem.

Date: 2009-09-06 01:27 am (UTC)Nope, sorry. I do not find her awesome.
I find her ability to be nice to everybody on LJ at once pretty awe-inspiring.
OK, yeah, I can see that. Myself, "nice" is not particularly in my value system, so it's sort of like seeing someone have the world's largest tea cup collection, which, yes, is awesome in a way, but also sorta gratuitous, in a "is this the best use of yourself that you can find?" sort of way. Except I don't think collecting tea cups has a downside, unlike being nice.

... 'k, I didn't find it particularly interesting, either. Seemed obvious; didn't we all cover that in 4th grade English class?

Sure, that I get. :)

Date: 2009-09-06 02:12 am (UTC)I trouble to ask because, sometimes, I learn something about the value system to apply to a thing to extract maximum value. I'm never actually like jazz, but I've gotten really well educated about what there is to like in jazz, and what makes jazz good, when it's good, thanks to friends who educated me. See, I would never have noticed the nice thing if you hadn't told me, so now I know. (Thanks!)
