Date: 2009-06-07 03:39 am (UTC)This is one reason why I am ASTOUNDED how difficult it is to find GOOD wraparound sunglasses, which I use for driving. Why? Because wraparounds don't impede my peripheral vision. Normal sunglasses very blatantly block it with the frame and ear shafts. To this day, I am the only one I know of who actively watches with my peripheral vision. I trained myself since teen years because of a horse instructor trying to describe "soft" eyes - meaning you take in the whole of the scene, not focusing too strictly on what's immediately ahead of you. I discovered early on that it's useful when driving too. Believe me, it's saved me from LOTS of situations.
