So I ran around going "I am a tickle moose, I am gonna tickle you" while the kids screamed.
After a while Ana started "You can't catch me" at me, and I got bored, so I said "You're right, you win. Good game" and stuck out my hand. We *always* shake hands when we finish a game.
Well... Ana's not a trusting child. I don't know why. "You'll tickle me!"
"No I won't! I just want to say good game. We always do that!"
So she shook my hand.
And... I pulled her over and got her under the arm!
Not five seconds later she tried it on me, and I just laughed. "I just tricked you like that not ten seconds ago, Ana, you can't fool me with my own trick!"
(She really never does believe me. Other day on the bus I told her her hair was green, and another woman agreed with me, and would you believe Ana accused the two of us of conspiring? Honestly, just because you mouth the words to somebody, you're conspiring with her nowadays? Today I told her that people take oatmeal baths when they have the chicken pox, and her mom confirmed it and she *still* didn't believe us. And I wasn't even tricking her then!)
We got to talking about death and marriage this afternoon (don't ask me), and Ana wanted to know if stars die (I said yes). Then she informed me that she's never ever getting married because, yuck, people just do "love kisses" and it's icky. Even her own parents. YUCK.
As far as Evangeline goes, she uses contractions now.
And there's something I've been meaning to take a tape of, it's so cute, before she stops doing it. Every time she says goodbye, even if it's to somebody she never met before, it's "Goodbye, I yuv you, I see tu yater!"
Other day, hurrying late-late down the stairs, Evangeline was moving so slowly, slow-slow-slow, and I went, exasperated, "Evangeline, just go down the flippin' stairs already!"
"F'ipping stairs? F'ipping stairs? Connie, stairs don't fyip, that's siyee! *giggle*"
She's right. It is silly. Silly Connie.
