Sometimes, Ana or Evangeline will, despite all expectations, start rubbing up against me and meowing

I, of course, always say the same thing - "Oh, my, what a cute ducky!"

So they'll meow more and more loudly, and headbutt me in earnest. "A very cute ducky indeed!"

Finally, they'll get frustrated and go "I'm a cat! MEOW!" to which I can only reply that...

You can't be a cat because cats don't talk, silly!

This is because I'm mean :)
