That is really cool, but kind of confusing for people who speak Spanish, where yo is already a pronoun (first person singular).

Wow. The grammaticasters (http://prettygoodword.livejournal.com/138050.html) are going to be ticked off if that starts spreading.

You'd think they'd be thrilled, it may finally eliminate singular-they!

(Seriously, that's like the Castro of pronouns. You keep thinking it'll die, and it never does. Singular they - Shakespeare used it, but he's just a hack.)

It might, but it's all ... hip-hop-ey. I'd think at least some of them would object on those grounds.

(Honestly, I'm way mixed on singular-they. On the one hand, it gives me fits, but on the other hand, barring the rise of "yo", it seems the best choice.)
