Apparently, some 13% of men who don't volunteer for mentoring organizations with young (?) children don't volunteer, at least in part, because of fears of being branded pedophiles.

I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers were actually a little higher, and if it carried over to other countries as well.

Of course "young" is relative. I couldn't work in an elementary school. Not because I'm attracted to the little squirts (I'm not) but because they're little squirts that drive me batshit crazy.

I don't know. Fourteen year old girls these days...they look like 20-somethings (on purpose!) around here.

And at fourteen, we won't exactly get into what *I* was doing. :/

Its just in some places, 14 is a lot older than other places. Say, the difference between New York City (current times) and Middle-of-nowhere, Oklahoma (current times).
