Help?

Firefox has started randomly doing this thing where it always has a blinky cursor on the page in the text. This is making scrolling up and down pages a real hassle, and I don't like it, and I want it to go away again. How can I do that?

Also, does anybody know why I have to manually delete my history when it's set to do so after three days? I've never bothered to ask about that, you know....

Why didn't anybody *tell* me???

I'm not downloading until I can see what extensions, exactly, work with it - if I had to give up my adblock, nothing's worth that.

Edit: Extensions I cannot live without: Adblock - seems to be updated
EasyGestures - isn't updated. If it isn't soon, I predict that somebody else will make their version....

Extensions I really like: Reload every - apparently updated
Undoclosetab - updated
Popup alt attribute (it lets the alt text appear when you mouse over an image) - It's updated.

Not a problem, exactly...

I'm using my mom's laptop downstairs while I watch the kid. She's sleeping. I might as well be upstairs. But that's beside the point. On my own laptop, I have the "easygestures" extension installed. It's not perfect, but I like it, and I'm used to it. Among other things, when I right-click, I can close my current tab. I don't have to remember a keyboard command, and I don't have to head to the top of the page to do this. Naturally, I don't want to install bizarre extensions on my mother's laptop (and she'd consider this bizarre), but I don't think that adding "close current tab" to the right-click menu counts. I can't, however, find an extension that does this. However, since I can't be the only one with this problem, I figured I'd post and ask all youse guys for help. Please?

Oh, and my mom's assessment of Ana is that she might be ready for very simple "real books" by the time her sister gets here. I'm not sure if that's because Ana is brilliant or because my mom thinks Ana is brilliant, but I'm already starting a list! For, ahem, Ana. Definitely.

You know how I'm always whining about PDF files? I hate them, because Adobe slows down my computer horribly.

Well, a while ago I downloaded an extension, "PDF Download" and completely forgot about it. Today, I accidentally clicked on a PDF file... and was automatically given the option to view it as HTML in a new tab. Yay! Of course, the presentation sucked, but that might not be the fault of the extension. And it's well worth it to never have to have my computer frozen for five minutes again because somebody forgot to put a PDF warning on their link.
