It's a bit too late for the characters in BSG to suddenly develop macabre senses of humor, but all the same, they could have learned a lesson from B5 (which I'm redownloading).

I remember the overload I went through when I watched that show way too fast. I can imagine how much worse it'd be with BSG. It's a good show, but you don't get a chance to *breathe* in between! No conversations about zippers! No practical jokes! Every good scene goes awry in some horrible, horrible way.

"Not every conversation has to be the end of the world as we know it."

Indeed.

(They also had color on that show. Imagine that!)

But now that I have almost done so...

What about those movies? Is it compulsary for people to watch the B5 movies? Am I dreadfully missing out if I don't?

Watching B5, viewing the Psicorps headquarters.

I can see that they'd have plain signs reading "The Corps is Mother, the Corps is Father" (and Maternis, Paternis was nice too). I can see they'd have the same signs reading "Protect the Family".

But "Obey"?

Granted, this is the show that unironically brought us politicians mindlessly echoing Neville Chamberlain, and Orwell of all things. (And that's still a far cut above all those endless shows with obvious Hitlers prattling on about "final solutions". Honestly, we get the Holocaust analogy, we're not stupid!)

I'm still giggling over the sign, though. And I can. Because it's a free country, nyah.

Edit: Trust the Corps, ah. I'm beginning to understand why Bester is so messed up. There's no art on these walls. You know what I blame that on the breakdown of? Society! (I love the Simpsons too.)

Edit: My, what an exposition of an episode. Weak!

I love Bester. Not in any platonic way, ew, but... I just have a thing for disturbingly creepy people, and Bester is one of them. I thought he had me at his pinata line, but, no, I just realized that I *always* rewind his scenes to watch them again.

I did very much the same thing with Morden. What makes some people disturbingly creepy? I mean, is it just the way they act? They looked disturbingly creepy, both of them, even before they started ostensibly acting... maybe it's how they look? How sad that would be, to go through life looking disturbingly creepy. Ah well.

If I pull up some of my favorite Babylon 5 quotes (so far), will somebody volunteer to make me an icon? And will somebody else volunteer me some sites with quotes, or (better yet), transcripts?

Marcus and Steven make such a cute interracial couple!

Yeah, I just wanted to post and say that. I have a fridge to clear out, and then I'll tuck myself into bed. Ni-ni, all.

Good season. Very quotable. And, since they broke off from Earth, I've been feeling slightly less paranoid about conditions in the so-called Real World. Still hoarding links. That's not all of why I've been posting less, though. I've been re-reading my Hilari Bell books. I'd lend them out, I really would, but I don't want to be without them! *huggles*

This has been a reminder to all of you to READ HILARI BELL. I'm not quitting until I see a fandom. Good fanfic. Really scarily bad fanfic. Slash. I want to see it! I want to see crazed fans! I want to see non-crazed fans! I don't want to be alone in my love of these books, so get to it.

Season 3 is pretty good so far :)

I'm up to the episode with the political advisor. Dear god, I have never wanted to hit somebody so much in my life. As soon as I get a closet, I'm putting a lock on the inside and I'll be able to hide out there forever. *nodnodnod*
