When she wants something, instead of asking for it (sans please, even) and then whining or screaming if she doesn't get it, she'll now (especially with new people) run up to you with a big ol' grin and a loud "HI!", then smile and kinda sidle up to you, be all huggy, until getting down to asking for whatever it is.

And it works.

Therein, of course, lies the problem - it's a lot harder to tell whoever it is not to give it up if she's being a sweet darling. Easy if she's whining, but if she's being beyond polite, they even will *argue* with you. Oy....
