1. When Harry is teaching DADA, it's the same room every time. More to the point, when Harry needs to hide the Potions book, he goes to a room that has been used before. Generations of students have hidden things from Fanged Frisbees to monsters in cages (and I would like to see a story about that particular incarnation of the room, hint hint hinty hint) in that room.

The obvious conclusion to this is that the Room of Requirement can't give you exactly what you want - remember when Dumbledore needed to pee? He found a room full of chamber pots, not a room with a single, more modern appliance. More likely the door to the Room of Requirement leads to a large number of other "potential" rooms, and you get the one that best suits your needs. It may also be able to make smaller items out of thin air, or to steal them from the other rooms - Harry's whistle appeared just as he needed it.

2. However! When Draco wants to find Harry, he can do so easily. Is this because he walked past the room three times thinking "I need to find them?" or because the room was already occupied? When Harry wanted to use the room as Draco used it, he was unable to.

This part confuses me oh-so-slightly. Thoughts?

See, this is why I try not to think too much into it. I get so confused! This would be an interesting question to ask JKR.

I guess it's safe to assume that the RoR doesn't pick sides. It doesn't not let Draco see it just because Harry and the DA is practicing secretly there. I forgot, when Harry wanted to use the room as Draco used it, was he occupying it at the time?

No, because when Malfoy was in there Crabbe & Goyle were standing guard outside- as young (as in 1st-2nd year)girls.

And wasn't Draco using a cabinet that made things disappear? Or is that in one of the rooms? I don't remember when that first turned up.

Draco only caught Harry & co. outside of the Room, though, right? I can't remember him entering the Room of Requirement. Although, if he knew it was a training room, he would have been able to open the door to Harry's classroom. Trelawney accidentally walked in on Draco because she was looking for a place to stash her bottles.
If Harry had walked past the room 3x thinking of a hiding place, he could have crashed Draco's party, right?

Oooh, sorry. I think you're right about the limited possibilities of the Room, though. Actually, the limits make it more interesting in a way. Other than a training room, a room for hiding things, and a room full of chamber pots, what other rooms might be accesible? Might be fun to ponder.

Right on!
Draco knew Harry was in there, but he couldn't get in either. He decided on waiting for them to start coming out, then caught them.

1) Maybe the rooms exist all the time, and the RoR door merealy opens on to the right one each time?

2) Gah, my memory fails, but didn't Draco follow someone in?

Apparently not, from comments.

Draco new from Marietta (the sneak) what exactly they were using the room for, and how they got in there. So, he knew how to get in there himself. Or at least, that's what I remember...

I think tht maybe the limits are most things can happen, but they are limited to within the room. Like you can wish for a room of quidditch supplies, but you can't take anything out.

The only things that can be removed are things that didn't originate in the room (EG. diadem)

That's my theory, anyway.
