Oh, and a what-we-did-today post.

We went and had Afghan food. Mmmm. Love that. But really, the fun part of today was on the boat home, at 11:30, sitting across from some tourists... and my mom and I got into a recitation competition. We went through Ogden Nash, LaFontaine, Robert Frost, Hillaire Belloc, Shakespeare, Vergil, the Bible ("Jesus Wept"), Poe, and several others without breaking a sweat, and the tourists just sat and jawdropped and grinned. It was great.
For those who ask "How can you remember all those?", the answer is simple: I just can. And I hardly ever get a chance to recite anything, because people shut me up, so this was fun. My family doesn't even like me to sing more than ten verses of any Christmas carol! (That's not true, actually. They don't like me to sing more than one verse of any Christmas carol.)
Edit: Oh, and on the trip out to the City, I looked at the sky. I love doing that. I don't know what youse guys see, but I look up, and I see lights. Staticky, snowy lights, pinpricking through the sky. Apparently, this is nothing to worry about, and it is often called scotopic sensitivity, or Irlen syndrome. I love it dearly, though. It's a light show when I've forgotten a book.

That stuff was INCREDIBLE.
