Or about detainees, or terrorism, or patriotism. This isn't even about hypocrisy - though I believe I've seen the Red Cross quoted on oppressive regimes when it suited the interests of the Powers that Be. This is entirely about certain parties trying to use money and influence to force others to keep silent on important matters. They're not even trying to be subtle about it!

I want. out. of. this. world. I want to go someplace where stupid things like this don't happen.

Mm. You do that. I'm going to work on my going-to-parallel-universes-device until I find one that's pleasant and uninhabited. Then I'll start stocking up on supplies, and prepare to drag all my friends and family there to start anew.
