How do you not advocate gay rights, and yet not be against them? Is that really a subject people can be apathetic about? (Apparently, yes, but that's not the point.)

Date: 2005-06-14 08:29 pm (UTC)And the second, I can understand how you can be apathetic about it, everyone has their 'thing' or 'things' and one can't be an advocate for everything, as cold as it sounds. And some people may not advocate gay rights but may not wish to stand in the way, that's kind of what my parents are like. It's not apathy, they have a different worldview and values, they just dont chose to impose them on everyone else.

Date: 2005-06-14 10:46 pm (UTC)For instance. My partner is 110% against Wal*Mart. Thinks they are deplorable. Actively works against them, spreading information about them, hell, he's interviewing for a job with a new NFP made specifically to counteract the damage Wal*Mart does.
I think they suck. I don't shop there. That's the extent of my ire. I don't have the energy.
