I love the second story here...

Though the introduction leaves something to be desired.

How do you not advocate gay rights, and yet not be against them? Is that really a subject people can be apathetic about? (Apparently, yes, but that's not the point.)

I'm pretty apathetic about gay rights myself. I am not against them, I think they deserve the same rights as everyone else, but I'm not gungho about it.

The first story they should have just made the latte, called it a cappuchino with no foam and that's that.

And the second, I can understand how you can be apathetic about it, everyone has their 'thing' or 'things' and one can't be an advocate for everything, as cold as it sounds. And some people may not advocate gay rights but may not wish to stand in the way, that's kind of what my parents are like. It's not apathy, they have a different worldview and values, they just dont chose to impose them on everyone else.

Well, not everyone is an activist. I mean, there are things that I'm against but I don't do a lot about it. There's only so many hours in the day, ya?

For instance. My partner is 110% against Wal*Mart. Thinks they are deplorable. Actively works against them, spreading information about them, hell, he's interviewing for a job with a new NFP made specifically to counteract the damage Wal*Mart does.

I think they suck. I don't shop there. That's the extent of my ire. I don't have the energy.

Same difference.
