I made it very clear to the Congress that the use of federal money, taxpayers' money to promote science which destroys life in order to save life is I'm against that. And therefore, if the bill does that, I will veto it."

So, let me get this straight.

It's okay to destroy life for freedom. It's okay to destroy life for oil. It's okay to destroy life for money, for big cars, for the people who got you into office.

It's not okay to destroy life to save life.

I'm not sure which is worse - the idea that North Korea is moving ahead of us in any area, or the idea that this sentence could also sum up his views on, say, abortion - something a bit more close to home for most of us. He probably wouldn't apply this idea to gun control or anything like that, though. I think.
