My crazy LJ-obsessed idea of the month.

I like quote icons. You probably like quote icons. Everyone likes quote icons.

There aren't nearly enough of them in this world. Do you know how hard it is to find a VM icon that isn't just pretty and tiny text? *sighs*

I'd like to encourage more of the Icons I Love. Who wouldn't? I could do this by compiling a list of Quotes I Really Like and periodically begging people to make me icons from the list. Or I could make a community, crosspost a request in various semi-related communities under the guise of very subtly advertising my community, and get some icons made for me.

*frowns slightly*

You know what? I need to stop eating dairy. I'm beginning to suspect that it maketh me crazy. Just a little.

But back on topic, what do you think? Would such a community outlast my oh-so-cunning plan?

Hmmm... You could make a community for that, and I'd join it. But I'd say not just limit it to quotes -- you could add some for slogans, general concepts, and specific images.

I'm curious why you don't make icons, though? It seems really easy/fun to me, and I'm not talented... I just have Photoshop (not exactly paid for ;) and had a good book to learn how to use it. (I can recommend the book/series if you want, it is excellent.)

1. I'm lazy.
2. As far as I know, I don't have an image program.
3. Even if I did, I wouldn't know how to use it.
4. Even if I did, I would be worried that mine weren't very good - and I can't have that.
