One on the National ID thing.
I gotta be honest here. I'm not upset over the national ID idea. Plenty of other countries have them, and they aren't all horrible totalitarian nations. In fact, many of them are quite nice - nicer than fundie-run America, anyway.
Yes, I realize that it wouldn't make us more secure, and I believe that the idea of tacking on unrelated clauses to laws is wrong (though a common enough practice), but... I'm not getting worked up over this.
And one on The Memo. Has this been in CNN at all? Because I can't recall seeing it there...

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd say I couldn't trust my own nation's news sources. Sadly, that day has come and gone. Repeatedly. Here's the question. Was it always like this, and I was just naive?
