These are all either things I've actually read, or implied attitudes.
1. Logan's behaviour can be explained away by the fact that he was abused.
Um, no. I mean, yes, this is an explanation, but it's never an excuse. Logan is very nearly an adult. You don't get passes for cruelty once you're an adult. That's why we don't forgive Haaron just because he was an abused child. Mind, I love Logan's character, and I want to give him cookies and hugs, but... no.
2. Veronica's behaviour isn't wrong.
This isn't said, but it's rather implied by the lack of comment a lot of it gets. Veronica stole medical records. This is illegal, and unethical. There was no need for it - she just wanted to satisfy her curiosity. Veronica routinely lies to people, even people she cares about. Sometimes, this is justified - but a lot of time, it's not. Veronica is altogether too preoccupied with vengeance. Veronica hogs the bathroom. The list just goes on and on, doesn't it?
3. Veronica's been worse to Logan than he's been to her.
Yes, I saw this. I'm not sure I'm even watching the same show as that girl.
Logan? He went out of his way to make her life miserable. He threatened violence against her. He kept this up for over a year. Oh, and he's responsible for her rape. Oh, and he taunted her for the fact that her mom was missing, remember that? And then, as soon as she "betrayed" him he goes and tells her that she should kill herself. The first time Veronica abandons him, she thinks he drugged and raped her. The second time, she thinks he's playing her and trying to tape her having sex.
Veronica? Twice abandons a guy she thinks is trying to harm her, and once "betrays" him to the sheriff. Because, yeah, you shouldn't tell on possible murderers, you should confront them. Or something. Again, I'm not sure I'm watching the same show as these people.
Oh, and she set him up at the beginning of the season. She's not a saint.
4. Veronica and Logan totally belong together, lyk, 4eva!
*cracks up laughing*
Yes, Logan's hot. Yes, they work well together. Yes, he's an alcoholic. Yes, he's a potential abuser. Yes, he's treated her like crap in the past - far in excess of how she's treated him. Yes, she accused him of murder (though she accused Duncan of the same thing, and he seems willing to forgive and forget...). Yes, he told her she should kill herself. Yes, he's got more issues than a comic book. Yes, she's got issues too, but they're nowhere near the same ones.

5. Duncan's behaviour at the party was okay, because he was drugged
No it wasn't. It wasn't criminal because as far as he knows, it was consensual (though it's possible he's having a misremembrance here) and because he didn't drug himself, but he knew she was drugged and didn't take her home before Logan put the GHB in his drink. Let's not forget that little fact.
6. Logan's not culpable because he didn't mean to harm anyone.
Watch me laugh.
7. Veronica wasn't raped.
Yes she was. She couldn't legally consent.
8. If you have sex with your sister, your kids will be mutants.
Okay, let's clear this up. First of all, sex with your cousin (a related topic that's come up) isn't incest. Heck, it's legal in many places and even prefered in some areas. Second, use logic. Your gametes don't know where they're from. They don't just randomly mutate. It all boils down to genetics. If you and your partner both have the same damaging recessive traits, you have a greater chance of producing a child with those traits - but if you don't, it's safe. (This doesn't mean that incest isn't still icky, but I view it as icky because you're having sex with somebody with whom you were raised, not because of the mutant baby factor. So I'd view pre-test-results Duncan/Veronica sex as morally neutral so long as it was consensual.)
9. HOW COULD VERONICA BETRAY LOGAN???
Dude. When you think somebody is a murderer, you don't give them a chance to hide the evidence, you don't give them a chance to lie to you, you don't give them a chance to run, you don't give them a chance to harm you. In short, you don't confront them. You go directly to the cops. (Note, this means that Veronica's actions at the end of the last episode were particularily stupid, as she should've called the police before going anywhere near her car, and had them pick up the tapes from the Kanes.)

I don't like Lianne. But this gets tiresome. Lianne is sick. She is an alcoholic. Sometimes, the people we love and care about have serious problems which make it difficult.
Yeah, she stole the money. After her own daughter kicked her out of the house and broke up her marriage. She has no way to earn money that we know of.
Is she a bitch? Well, she's not a nice person, I think, but... sometimes circumstances make us do things we wouldn't do otherwise. I don't think that Lianne Mars is such a simple character.
