Date: 2005-05-06 05:53 pm (UTC)My point was that, for some reason, they included several nation-specific graphics in that MASTER (i.e., .com, not .de or .ie or .ca) list, but none of the Canadian ones.
They have things like: On November 15th, Shichi-go-san is celebrated in Japan, and Vive la France! Google celebrated Bastille Day (both in 2000 - http://www.google.com/holidaylogos00.html).
Other years have nation-specific graphics, as well. But I KNOW that they have done a graphic for Canadian Thanksgiving several times (I saved some), and I just wonder why those are not included. [I LIKE having the multi-national graphics included, just feeling a bit miffed that Canada didn't count, for some reason.]
Was I clearer that time? :-)
I love the one they did for Boy's Day (another Japanese holiday). I forget which year I saw it in, but I have a real fondness for the koi kites. Sadly, I forgot to hang any yesterday! Sigh.
