I can't sleep. And I did not know you could view old holiday logos like that.

Thank you! I'd been wondering if there was a way to see old ones.

WELL. I guess that means I can stop SAVING my favourites to my hard drive. Sheesh. Been doing that for YEARS.

*feels silly*

You can see the UK ones too. (http://www.google.co.uk/holidaylogos04.html) We don't get many of our own though, and we still get inapplicable American ones like Mother's Day and Earth Day and such. Don't think we get Independence Day though ;0) But I dunno, I don't use .co.uk much myself

I'd like to know why several international ones ARE posted in the link Conuly posted, but NOT the Canadian ones?? *sniff*

They are? I thought they were all ones that google.com had used... Sure St Patrick's Day is an Irish holiday, but I'm pretty certain google.com had a St Patrick's Day logo up regardless.

Sorry, I don't actually follow your reply. St Patrick's Day is celebrated here in the States (often with green beer and the like), and I didn't say that Google *hadn't* used those logos - the purpose of that page is to display various logos they've used in the past.

My point was that, for some reason, they included several nation-specific graphics in that MASTER (i.e., .com, not .de or .ie or .ca) list, but none of the Canadian ones.

They have things like: On November 15th, Shichi-go-san is celebrated in Japan, and Vive la France! Google celebrated Bastille Day (both in 2000 - http://www.google.com/holidaylogos00.html).

Other years have nation-specific graphics, as well. But I KNOW that they have done a graphic for Canadian Thanksgiving several times (I saved some), and I just wonder why those are not included. [I LIKE having the multi-national graphics included, just feeling a bit miffed that Canada didn't count, for some reason.]

Was I clearer that time? :-)

I love the one they did for Boy's Day (another Japanese holiday). I forget which year I saw it in, but I have a real fondness for the koi kites. Sadly, I forgot to hang any yesterday! Sigh.
