Invisible Implausibility.

I'm not sure that's entirely true. If the invisibility works more like camouflage, like some of the technology being invented now, then your eyes would probably still work. Besides which, it's called "magic" and thus does not follow typical scientific rules. The Ring size bit, too, I think falls under "magic." At least, even before the movies, I'd always assumed that's how it worked.

On a Christian anime forum today I ran across someone who said that he had "assburger's disease." I think it was a genuine misspelling.

Meh. The list was total crap. the shrinking ring? It. is. Magic, stoopid.
Arwen is not a woman, she is an Elf, and therefore a being of amazing suoernatural power herself.
The sequels? The book was done as a trilogy, and so the films follow that pattern too.
gollum a complete animation? so who is Andy Serkis?
This guy is just a shmuck. Every single statement can be torn apart and revealed as the weak, pathetic and sorry excuse for a review that is is by anyone who knows anything about art.

Whoever wrote that list hasn't read the books--which, incidentally, came before the movie...by a good 50 years or more. Is it meant to be funny? I really hope I'm just displaying aspie-literalness here. *is a major LotR geek*

Well it's obvious up until you get to the end and read his apology section...then it just gets really confusing, and you start to wonder if this guy really IS some dumbass professor that went inexplicably insane.
