I can understand wanting (and expecting) compensation if you have a permanent account. You paid for that. But listen closely: if you have a free or early adopter account, you did not pay for anything. You did not lose money for the time that LJ was down. Yes, it sucks, yes, I can see how you were distraught and traumatised - but you do not deserve compensation. YOU SPENT AND LOST NO MONEY.

I thought it was really cool that they offered compensation.
It never occured to me to expect it.

I wonder if that's because we don't have that thing here where you can sue over the silliest things(forget the right words right now)?
