I'd buy for Seth, but, y'know, don't know where he is and all. Jenn is getting free babysitting, again, and Mommy's getting me cleaning.
Quick, run through the wishlist, tell me what toys make the most sense for Ana at 18 months. I already have an idea of what I want to get her (and, in fact, will probably go to several stores to make sure that I don't fail) but I do like to have input from others. Ignore the blocks, she has enough of those for right now. If you go nuts and decide you want to buy her something, feel free, but tell me so I don't get it.

Date: 2005-01-05 02:27 pm (UTC)Heaven forfend. You haven't heard my theory on toys with bright flashing lights yet, have you?
Here it is:
A very small number of toys is improved through batteries. For example, toy phones.
Most toys are better off without batteries. This includes farm toys, toy houses, and dolls.
Toys which require batteries to be any fun at all are wrong. Toys which light up and flash and make noise are overstimulating, and may be detrimental to the learning process.
