I'd buy for Seth, but, y'know, don't know where he is and all. Jenn is getting free babysitting, again, and Mommy's getting me cleaning.

Quick, run through the wishlist, tell me what toys make the most sense for Ana at 18 months. I already have an idea of what I want to get her (and, in fact, will probably go to several stores to make sure that I don't fail) but I do like to have input from others. Ignore the blocks, she has enough of those for right now. If you go nuts and decide you want to buy her something, feel free, but tell me so I don't get it.

I'm rather inclined to agree, but kids seem to like them. Most kids may well be fine with that kind of stimulation, in limited doses.I always found them overstimulating though. I expect it's an Aspie thing. I still can't stand loud noises or flashing lights.

Hmm, I remember being overjoyed as a child when I got a plastic dinosaur that could actually roar and whose eyes lit up when he did so. However, I do have to admit that its play value became limited after a while. Eventually the batteries ran out and nobody could be bothered to replace them, so the dinosaur was just as plain as the others, except that it had a bit less play value because it was heavy and I didn't dare throwing it around in fear of breaking it.
