Is this answer, which is a little strange, still good? If I don't think so, am I being too picky? What if I'm wrong? What if I make a horrible, terrible mistake and people hate me and I get rocks thrown in my windows???

*shrinks*

Which has led to me approving only very simple answers, and not approving anybody if I answer as somebody else does. I need to stop being a wuss.

Oh, and congrats [livejournal.com profile] fugaciouslover

Aw. I was the same for... months, really, because I'm the paranoid type, and have just recently began believing in my own support competence. No one will hate you or throw rocks in your windows, as far as I know. Well. Not unless you throw rocks in their windows; I'd assume that might lead them to hatred and create a desire in them to return the favour. Try getting another supporthelp to check your answers for a while, or tell you what /is/ definitely needed, and what's acceptable? Priv-play may well have done that for you, though; I don't think I took a normal route through priv-play. (Priv-played for ages, sent in a review after a long time and got privved as soon as I did that, and didn't really receive many specific comments on what was /needed/ and what was just shiny.)

I think she meant 'I haven't waited the 48 hours usually left to priv someone', which I'd take as a compliment :)

(I heard the postman while typing this comment. Post! Three packages for me! *giddy* I'll update later with what was in them :))

I keep thinking that I've just made a tragic mistake and approved the wrong answer instead of the right one.

Hee, same here. Think of it as incentive to click back to the request as quickly as possible. I'm scared to use my mouse-wheel at all when approving, and keep checking that I haven't scrolled to the wrong option, but it's never happened. I did once approve while moving a request to gunk, but that was because I'd intended to approve as a styles request, and had been debating (with the one who wrote the answer) whether it was more relevant for styles or gunk.

The icon's by [livejournal.com profile] icon_goddess, as you probably know :) I had... no idea you could do that with maple leaves, and don't think I'll try.

2: Well, it took me most of a year, but I'm not a guideline to go by. I guess it'll happen when you're fully familiar with the policies, and have been approving lots of things without LiveJournal falling down on you.

Also, pedantically, your comment links may be inaccurate. You see, for this entry they say 'read what 3 of my followers have said', but one of the posted comments is from you. Then again, you may count yourself a follower of yourself, in which case my objections are void ;) (And it also must be confusing, following yourself; that gives me the image of someone turning round very quickly.)
