Mild problem (as compared to the BIG problem I just posted about)

I'd love to be able to use my laptop at school to go online, there seem to be plenty of workable places I could plug in my laptop, but... the free client they suggest doesn't seem to exist. Hm....

Any alternatives? I know youse guys can come through for me. You all directed me towards my beautiful firefox, after all.

If I'm reading those sites correctly, than the WiFi client built in to Windows XP SP2 should be compatible. And if you don't have SP2, there's a wireless security update that's downloadable through Windows Update.

Never mind what I said above; though Windows XP does support wireless security, the protocol they want isn't built in.
