Am eating soup.
Dec. 1st, 2004 04:20 pmI should never make soup, I always make too much.
Put some water to boiling, with salt and rosemary. Then add several cloves of garlic (nicely chopped) and two or three onions (also nicely chopped). Oh, and a bay leaf or two.
Once the water is boiling, add in a tomato or two, and two mediumish bell peppers (cut about one inch) - I used a red and an orange. Add a few handfuls of string beans, cut into thirds or so, and some lentils (optional). Add as much black pepper as you can stand, tons of oregano, some basil, and any other herbs you think would improve the flavor (thyme, tarragon, paprika, whatever suits your fancy). Wait as the water boils down. Add some vinegar - enough that you can taste it, but not so much that it tastes icky sour. I *think* lemon juice would work as well. Eat.
