For somebody who doesn't want kids, I sure do read a lot of stuff about childcare.

No, I don't know why.

Well, at least I'll be well-prepared if I ever go nuts, right?

Well, they're my family, that's different, but I honestly have been fascinated by childcare information since... well, sicne I was a child.

And I don't want kids.

I don't get it.

Perseveration is definitely the right word, it's just a kinda pointless perseveration.

Luckily for me, I've long since given up the belief that there's any useless information, so the worst thing that comes from this fascination is a curiosity: why do I want to know this?

I've actually always found certain aspects fascinating as well, just not the same ones. In my case, it was the educational/psychological/developmental/medical angle, and I knew early on that I wanted to teach in some capacity.

Maybe it's a function of knowing instinctively from an early age that we're "different" and thus having a need to search for reasons why?
