On the other hand it is California, so having 24 hour funeral service might be expected, even if it does attract vampires.

I mean, it's Sunnydale. They probably need to do burials at all hours; they've got a lot of corpses to deal with.

But, see, if they dig themselves out of their graves, you have to bury them _again_. It's a never-ending task.
