You know what I hate about jeans?
Sep. 29th, 2004 06:04 pmThey don't stay still. I mean, I buy a pair of jeans, and when I buy them, they barely fit. They're too tight. Then, after I've worn them once, now all of a sudden they're too loose. They want the world to see my undies.
Betrayers.
*sighs*
I'll just have to ask my mom to take these in. This is insane. WHY do they DO this?

Date: 2004-09-29 09:08 pm (UTC)Probably. The odds of finding jeans that fit are abysmally small.
Or that you're buying the sort that isn't "pre-relaxed" so you're getting a very different size after they're washed/worn from in the store?
That might be it too, but the real problem is that the only jeans that fit are the "stretchy" ones. Which really sucks, as all that stretchiness also lowers the life of the jeans.
And anyway, usually I don't care. I just have my mom take them in. I mean, for all the time I could spend finding a better fit of jeans, I could *also* be reading a book. And if you don't know which one I'll choose, always, I'm not sure you know me :)

Date: 2004-09-29 09:25 pm (UTC)That I certainly can relate to... I have, right now, *one* pair of jeans that I can wear in public, which is problematic as that's the only legwear I'm willing to wear outside the house. I know I really should get more of them, especially as these ones are getting pretty worn out, but I heard that Levi changed how they size things *and* changed the cut, and I *really* don't want to go spend time trying on clothes. I hate doing that...bleah!
Also I admit that part of me really wants to just wait for me to lose weight so I can wear my smaller pants. I don't want to get more pairs in this size and possibly reinforce my ability to *stay* this size! (I don't care how I look in that sense, but the tactile sensations I get from being overweight can push me from "stressed" into "meltdown" on a bad day!)

Date: 2004-09-29 09:32 pm (UTC)Oh, I hear you. But it's better to do that now than to wait for that one pair to no longer be decent.

Oy vey. Poor you.
