I learned something today.

Specifically, I learned that I really need to wash my potholder, and until I do it's not suitable for an impromptu bookmark, no matter how short-term.

Sigh.

I wonder if some cornstarch would help? Or maybe baking soda? How the hell did it even get this bad? It's like the thing was dipped in butter or somet - oh, actually, come to think of it that might be it.

It's amazing how gross potholders can get! Somehow they pick up every molecule of grease that really shouldn't be on the outside of the ovenware.
