You and me both. I’m not used to the big booms being that close and they were firing big fireworks that went high all in our tall trees and I wasn’t looking forward to our neighborhood being burned down. I did go out and yell at them I was that upset at how they were upsetting my cats and after watching the towns burn down in CO annd my cousin living out there. This was the noisiest of any new year or 4th of July I’ve ever experienced--I felt like we were under seige. Crazy assholes.

We could hear a few - I think the council-provided ones up at the showgrounds - but they didn't go on for long, and it was quiet around our way.

Tavy sat on the bed and growled at the window. Livia hid behind him even though she is twice his size. I think the cold really dampened the festivities, as it only went on for 15 minutes.

Fireworks weren't *too* bad this year.

What was new was the several cars revving engines and squealing tire for about an hour. You would have though we were street racer central or something.

Oof. Much sympathy for having to deal with all the amateur pyro technicians' shows. Ours were reasonably quiet this year. Perhaps because of all the snow.
