And I do mean out. Luckily, it doesn't seem to have damaged the roof and nobody got hurt or died.

No, the only casualty is the kickstand on this keyboard. I have ordered a new cheapie while I consider the question of "Do I want an ergonomic keyboard, and if so, which one?"

Oh, and I'm going to have to get a new a/c for summer, and this time it's going to be a small one which actually fits in the window. I have no idea how we wedged that old one in in the first place, but I'm glad I can actually close the window this winter instead of having to tape up the gaps, badly.

Eep! Glad no-one was hurt and nothing major was destroyed.

re: ergo keyboards -- I've been very happy with a version of Goldtouch split keyboards for the last ten years or so. It was what the company ergonomist recommended when I was having wrist issues, and I've had no complaints since, about ergo or the keyboard qua keyboard.

For the AC, you should look at portable ones. We got one that we use in my daughter's room and it works better than the window one. Also you can take it off in the winter and seal the windows, which was the biggest problem in the winter.

Good that there were no important casualties. Here's going for better solutions soon.
