Oh, so it isn't just me. I've about given up on LJ.

Yeah, I was locked out of mine for a good month, apparently because of spam in the comments? When I finally got back in, I just pinned a post on top directing people over the Dreamwidth, and stopped crossposting. The only reason I even leave the account open is that, when I transferred over to hear, they didn't actually import my photos, just linked to LJ. (Which is how I found out they'd locked my account. The photos all disappeared from my archived posts.)

So that's why the x-posting has been failing. I had no idea. I thought it was because I'd changed my LJ password.

The only reason I bother keeping LJ is there are about 5 people who want me to since that's how they keep up with us, sort of, because neither of now or ever have had FB accounts. And never will. And I like these people a lot though they are so busy we hardly ever see each other. And now, of course, nobody is seeing anybody, hardly. We sure aren't!

Oh, no. It's because LJ and DW don't place nice with each other, and when a LOT of people change their passwords on LJ and then fail to fix the auto-post setting on DW, sooner or later LJ gets fed up and blocks DW crossposting for a while.
