Funny how often that comes around on the calendar.

4 Minneapolis cops fired after video shows one kneeling on neck of black man who later died

Fired is a good start, but I won't be happy until/unless they're all rightfully imprisoned for cold-blooded murder.

I want to see this woman charged with something: a Black man politely asked her to leash her dog in a dogs-must-be-leashed area, and she threatened him that

"Ms Cooper told the Harvard graduate she would phone police and tell them "there's an African-American man threatening my life" after he began filming her on his phone."

She could easily have gotten him killed!

She knew she was being recorded, and rolled the dice on that footage being suppressed in the event that Mr. Cooper - noted as a past editor at Marvel Comics as well as his role with the local Audubon Society - died of her actions. Chilling.

I agree. He knew exactly what he was doing and he didn't care. He kept his knee on the neck of a man who was handcuffed and on the ground. He deserves prison for murder.

He heard multiple objections to his act of torture, as he was committing it, and he refused to heed any of them. The footage of that refusal is on record. I would call the chances of conviction, should the local prosecutors decide to act, to be at "slam-dunk" level.

Torture is what happened. It induced that death. Let's call it that.

you're right. this is racist murder and abuse of authority and those cops should go to prison, not just get fired.

Fired is great. Arrested, charged, and convicted would be even better.

Yes. Murder One would be appropriate, and with all of those laws being used that say "accomplices to major crimes can be charged with the same crime" that be been used against people of color all the time to make sure all of the officers involved are charged, prosecuted, and convicted of Murder One.
