I remember Gargoyles as being so good that I'm afraid to go back and watch, possibly destroying that impression...

I plan to rewatch it as my housemate picked up Disney+. Though I just recently learned that Detective Ellen Yin in The Batman was modeled after Eliza Maza. When I read the article mentioning that I thought for about three second and realized they were very, very right. Probably explains why I liked Yin so much.
