conulyso we've been slowly trimming him with scissors. He now looks like people love him again! Alas, it also looks like the people who love him are untrained amateurs armed only with scissors and unsure as to how to approach his scruffy back end (he doesn't like that, even more than he doesn't like being trimmed at all), but since it IS like that I guess it's okay that it looks like that.
