Two utterly unrelated open letters
Feb. 5th, 2020 01:32 am1. To all mail order and internet companies:
I appreciate that you used cardboard or paper to cushion your product inside the box instead of plastic or styrofoam. Very responsible! But perhaps you could be a bit more responsible and use paper-based packing tape instead of plastic-based tape so I could shove it in my recycling without having to rip all the tape off first. Think about it.
2. To apparently the whole world:
Try to get this one through your head. Just because lots of people pay attention when somebody does a certain thing that annoys you, that does not mean that everybody who does that thing does it to get attention. No, not even that. Nope, not that either. Your logic is specious and your compassion is lacking. Furthermore, your ridiculous adherence to "everybody who annoys or inconveniences me by doing something I don't do must be doing it for attention" says a lot more about your motivations than anybody else's.
