Date: 2019-08-15 06:31 am (UTC)Having blind friends and having had to help some of them with their computers I can state that while it's not simple to add accessibility, it's a lot easier to design it in from the begining.
Too many websites, both personal and professional, have all sorts of flashy bells and whistles that get in the way of accessibility.
Things like audio/video that start playing automatically are prime offenders as they make it impossible to hear the screen reader reading the contents of the page.
Fancy layouts can make navigation problematic. So can something as simple as not having description tags on graphical content.
