Oh, that Saletan article on white nationalism vs white supremacy is fascinating. He's a really good thinker.

Hopefully you've seen the Lofty Pursuits video about making red currant candy, and just WHY the flavor is so uncommon here?

That made me look it up :)
I didn't know that currants (and gooseberries!) were once banned in the U.S., and still are in some places. Interesting, and explains why they are so uncommon over here.

Back when I was a child, both red and white currants grew in the garden in back of the building where my aunt lived in Germany. (My other German aunt grew gooseberries.) Sour tangy refreshing flavor. We sprinkled sugar over them. I'm not sure if I've ever had fresh black currants, but have had the juice and flavored candies.

White Supremacist Attacks Have Grown Deadlier During Trump’s Presidency

There's a line in there "Trump also insisted that his rhetoric, which frequently includes demonizing immigrants and attacking women, African American and Latino leaders, “brings people together."

The "obvious" answer is that from Trump's point of view it *does* bring "people" together. If he only considers "people" to be white conservatives.

A blind man couldn't order pizza from Domino's.

Having blind friends and having had to help some of them with their computers I can state that while it's not simple to add accessibility, it's a lot easier to design it in from the begining.

Too many websites, both personal and professional, have all sorts of flashy bells and whistles that get in the way of accessibility.

Things like audio/video that start playing automatically are prime offenders as they make it impossible to hear the screen reader reading the contents of the page.

Fancy layouts can make navigation problematic. So can something as simple as not having description tags on graphical content.
