So, it's official.
Aug. 14th, 2004 07:47 pmWe have mice. Or at least mouse. I'm guessing it (they?) came in through the attic, there's a gap wherever the roof meets the floor.
So this week I'll pick up a cat, it doesn't have to be a mouser, we just need "cat smell" in the house (not that sort of cat smell, the sort that's friendly and strikes terror into small rodents of the wild persuasion) and tomorrow this house is getting scrubbed. Yay. Anybody have a cat? Kitten?

Date: 2004-08-14 06:44 pm (UTC)You're right, though. When we lived on 18th avenue, we had mice under our stove, which we couldn't get rid of (we eventually just paid to replace the stove....) and our cat would run under there to disembowel 'em... but they never left. And at that time we had three cats and a dog.
We'll probably just borrow a cat, though, instead of getting a new one. With luck, that'll scare away any rodents in the lower part of the house. I honestly don't care about the attic, since there's no way to keep them out of there due to the afore-mentioned problem with the roof.
