Date: 2018-08-19 10:53 pm (UTC)So this week:
- red (rubbish) bin
- yellow (recycling) bin
Next week:
- red (rubbish) bin
- green (green wastes) bin
Our local council has a twice-yearly 'large rubbish pick up' which is extra to the weekly service. You can put out anything big, industrial, too-large-for-your-bin that you want taken to the tip: couches, bookshelves, bbqs. They specify no whitegoods, but honestly if you put a working washing machine out during that time, it will vanish in hours. There are people who scour the kerbside large rubbish pickup looking for stuff they can use. (Same rules as the skip bin mentioned above.)
The next council over doesn't have the automatic twice-yearly pick up, but you can book in up to two large rubbish pick-ups a year. You just have to schedule it with the council.
