My mother saw her doctor yesterday
Jul. 30th, 2018 03:00 amThe pulmonologist, I mean, the Dutch one. Apparently he's from Friesland specifically. When Mommy told this to Ana, I said, of course, that "Bread, butter, and green cheese is good English and good Fries".
Mommy: Why, that's exactly what he said!
Me: Yes, if you don't consider Scots an independent language then Frisian is the closest language to English. Of course, if you do, then it's Scots.
Mommy: That's exactly what he said too!
My mother went up two flights of stairs without getting winded, and I guess they had to talk about something on the way up and down. (She did it pretty quickly, too, especially without her cane!)
